CORIOLIS FEEDER

SCHENCK MULTICOR® S mass flow-rate feeding devices are used wherever large amounts of bulk solids need to be continuously established, controlled and fed. They provide precise feeding according to the Coriolis principle, a unique measuring principle for bulk solids based on direct, fast measured value acquisition.

With >2,000 MULTICOR®s in the market, developing its use for the weight measuring and feeding of bulk material on a continuous basis is an application extension of this very successful longstanding product.

MULTICOR® Operating Principle:

  • Continuous fixed-speed rotating measuring wheel contained within a dust-tight body
  • Bulk material enters the centre of the measuring wheel and is centrifugally accelerated outwards
  • This action creates a torque, which corresponds directly to the feed rate
  • The torque is measured with a measuring module (Schenck Process load cell)
  • Data communicated from the measuring module to Schenck Process
  • DISOCONT® control system

BIN WEIGHING

Easy to integrate with highly accurate results

The compact unit consists of a load cell and mount designed for simple integration into the bin support. The advantage is that the mount compensates for the forces created by internal stirring systems. Weighing is recorded outside the bin without product contact, thus eliminating any influence that product characteristics might have had on the result.

Function

The fill level data can be communicated to the customer’s control system in various ways e.g. analog or digital.
